This has turned out to be a very stable addon, I installed it on all my Firefox and Chrome browsers. I have over 7,000 pages saved. The export is ultra easy to use and because it goes to a basic text file that can be copy/cut/paste anywhere I really feel safe working with thousands of links.
Allowing the naming of tabs makes finding your favorite porn sites, i mean business sites easy. Icons area visible. You can password the tabs/pages if using a shared system.
I run Process Lasso and monitor memory before and after moving tabs into OneTab - As the Author says 95% savings I can't say I have had those results however I can verify over 50%! Those who run Foxfire with lots of tabs and notice everything slows down and possible crash will see instant results.
I have tens of thousands of bookmarks, so many I can't find anything, OneTab is a simple way to keep those sites close without filling your toolbar and you still have the option to save bookmarks/favorites as normal.
This is a good backup solution with a simple interface.
Did I say it's free? Run it for a week or two, if you like it than send the Author a few $ to buy a case of beer.

    I've been using OneTab daily for a long time without a problem, however since the last couple of updates I've experienced a complete wipeout of all my saved tabs twice. It seems that every time that the extension is updated, all saved tabs get wiped.
    Many other users are reporting the exact same issue, however the response from the development team so far has been denial, blaming users, firefox, privacy software, etc.
    Clearly something is broken, be cautious when using this extension and make sure to backup your tabs regularly (specially before applying updates).

    If my hard drive space drops below 10gb all my OneTab data wipes. It's happened twice.

    There will not be a third attempt.

    Hi, we've checked the Firefox source code, and Firefox will not evict any OneTab data due to low disk space.

    The problem is probably that you are running some kind of privacy cleaner or system cleaner software which is trying to evict Firefox data, and is wiping extension data (including OneTab) at the same time. 'BleachBit' and 'Advanced SystemCare' are known to do this.

    Firefox Donot even try! Once it is activated there is noway to get back to your original tab layout unless you have backed up Firefox! I was able to get it back because I also using Simple Tag Groups and was able to restore over 1600 tabs using the Simple Tab Groups backup/restore.

    Hi, you can do what you're describing.

    By default, if you use Firefox tab groups, then each tab group will be stored separately, and can be restored separately.

    If you want to store a whole window full of tab groups, and have the entire window restore at once with all of the tab groups inside, then you can do this by going to OneTab Options and choosing the "Send the current window to OneTab, including all tabs and tab groups" option.

    Hundreds of tabs up and disappeared. This is happening to a lot of users. OneTab Team says that is it Firefox doing it. Either way, this app is not compatible with Firefox. Do not use if you value your time and effort.

    I'm sorry this happened. The problem isn't Firefox, it's software such as privacy cleaners, or disk corruptions, that can corrupt Firefox's data stores.

    The solution is to either ensure that your regular backup software (that keeps your files safe) also backs up your Firefox profile folder, or to use our upcoming encrypted cloud sync and backup feature.

    NB! DO NOT USE THIS GARBAGE OF an addon. Yesterday received some update and today months of work is gone forever - no DB backup no nothing! It is not coded well at all!

    I DID not refreshed my Firefox, neither did some kind of cleaning of the browser or Windows whatsoever.

    What a f%#king shame !!!

    I do not see any reason why is recommended app by Firefox, when I read that clearly I'm not the only one affected.

    And please developers, don't say it is Firefox fault. It is not the only add-on we use. You can read firefox code, and fix your own!

    Hi, I'm sorry you lost your tabs.

    What happened was not a bug in OneTab. Firefox profiles can become corrupted, and then there is nothing we can do on our end.

    The solution is to either ensure that your regular backup software (that keeps your files safe) also backs up your Firefox profile folder, or to use our upcoming encrypted cloud sync and backup feature.
