yazan: rsbrux, 6 yıl önceThis was an indispensable add-on for me until today (16 Sept. 2020). Today's update (v 1.36) has broken OneTab completely. I can no longer save tabs, nor can I get the OneTab page to open. I am using Firefox 80.0.1 running under Windows 8.1 Pro x64.
I was able to revert to v1.29 (which still works) on a Windows PC, but only by first removing and then re-adding OneTab, which resulted in the loss of all of my stored tabs. The instructions at https://www.one-tab.com/firefoxRestore are evidently outdated, as the indicated "simple-storage" folder under Windows 8.1 Pro x64 is empty, regardless of whether Firefox is running.
Having learned from my experience with the Windows PC, I disabled updates on my Ubuntu PC. This appeared at first to have the desired effect. However, when I started Firefox again after rebooting the system, OneTab was missing completely. I haven't found any instructions for recovering lost tabs under Ubuntu.
I have made exports of saved tabs on both machines, but they are a few weeks old. OneTab doesn't appear to have an automatic backup facility, and since it is unclear where its data now resides, I see no way to implement one.
Update: OneTab is working again as of th e new version, 1.39 (see developer response below), so I am upgrading my rating to 4 stars. I especially applaud OneTab's efforts to require the minimum permissions needed, although I would caution users to check the setting for reading tabs in private sessions, which is enabled by default.
The add-in is so useful that I would give it five stars, if:
1. The instructions at https://www.one-tab.com/firefoxRestore were updated. In case anyone is interested, OneTab appears to now store its data in an SQLite db in a folder named "idb" under \storage\default\moz-extension+++1297484c-254f-45f9-a970-69c5c1cc0f50^userContextId=4294967295
2. It would add an automatic backup/export feature. The HTML export/import works very well. How much trouble would it be to automatically store the export file? This could be an option to be done on each update of the list.
Judging by the posts my web search turned up, this isn't the first time a bug has caused OneTab users to lose data. Regardless of the problem's source, I am sure that many users would be glad of some such insurance.

gönderilme: 6 yıl önceHi, sorry about this. We've been working with Mozilla all morning to resolve this. Mozilla have confirmed it was due to a bug in Firefox (related to extension permissions downgrades).
To fix OneTab, just go to “about:addons” in your Firefox address bar, click the ‘cog’ icon in the top right, and click ‘Check for updates’. This will upgrade you to OneTab v1.39, which fixes the issue.

gönderilme: bir ay önceHi, the Zen browser's extension API does not have full compatibility with Firefox extensions unfortunately. Many extensions won't work with it. We hope they will improve compatibility with Firefox. - 5 üzerinden 5 puanyazan: Firefox kullanıcısı 19083290, bir ay önceI've already loved this extension for years and just noticed there was a new update (2.13) and its so sexy 10/10. An elite extension for my purposes.

RE: Developer response
I do not have "system cleaner" or "privacy cleaner" software installed. This is quite frankly a cop out. Your product sucks and you know it.Geliştiricinin yanıtı
gönderilme: bir ay önceHi, I'm sorry you lost your tabs. Please note that if Firefox gets corrupted, or if you have "system cleaner" or "privacy cleaner" software installed, this can wipe clean data for all browser extensions including OneTab. - 5 üzerinden 5 puanyazan: Firefox kullanıcısı 19076501, 2 ay önce

gönderilme: 2 ay öncePlease contact us at one-tab.com/feedback to report the specific problem you're having, so we can investigate if there is a bug we're unaware of. - I REALLY want to downgrade. I don't need the fancy ui... it takes way more clicks to do all the simple things I needed to do. Is there an xpi file or something of the old version? I need alternatives asap. Cool new features... but I don't want to click four times to do something that used to take one or two clicks.... that's bad ui design.

gönderilme: 2 ay önceHi, please let us know what actions require too many clicks, so we can add keyboard shortcuts or other improvements. As far as we're aware, the only thing that takes more clicks than before is when you're using the "share as a web page" feature. It's now just 1 click to delete a group, whereas before it was a click and a confirm, so that's an improvement. Older versions are available for download in the add-ons history. Please let us know at one-tab.com/feedback what specifically we can make more efficient to do in the new version. Geliştiricinin yanıtı
gönderilme: 2 ay önceHi, the new OneTab was designed to be much faster than before. It's possible it might be slower if you have a very old GPU - please contact us at one-tab.com/feedback so we can see if we can figure out the particular performance issue that we can fix.- 5 üzerinden 5 puanyazan: Firefox kullanıcısı 19830530, 2 ay önceSimply ingenious, I can have tons of tabs open and get back to them later without it taking up memory or creating clutter in my space. The new update is great, it's like tabs for my tabs instead of a list now. I feel like I'll never get bored or lose track of something that I want to get back to, and it's not going to create clutter I don't want to lose or keep forever in my bookmarks.
- Super handy extension! Especially when doing research or looking for references. Once you feel like you need a break you can wrap everything up with a single click and not worry about losing track or spending tons of time bookmarking tabs one by one. (One thing I'm missing though is ability to merge groups on android but it's not worthy of removing a star :P)
