Hi. It works for me. Tried with the Wikipedia home page PDF: https://en.wikipedia.org -> Download as PDF. The button should be pressed after a download in the same browser session. If you close and open it recent downloads list is empty.
Also check what Browser Console says (Ctrl+Shift+J) about 'downloads.open'.
You could send me your situation info on email or as a GitHub issue so I can test it directly.
