When I open a YouTube video link it changes the resolution (does what it proposes). But when I open the YouTube homepage, it redirects me to a random YouTube post and keeps reloading the page. So I can't use YouTube's homepage

Apparently this bug is at least one year old, deducting from old comments.

Using Firefox 77.0.1 (64-bits) at Windows 10 Pro 1909

As of Jun 30, 2026 Add-on is NON-FUNCTIONAL.

The « YouTube Auto HD + FPS » Add-on is currently Functional and has Many More Features, I suggest that Add-on instead.

Just doesn't work. Not on shorts or full videos, quality still rubbish and defaulting to auto or low despite decent internet and using this extension with all permissions allowed.

Constantly asks for permissions to read/change data on all websites and puts a green dot on the UI about it.

For some reason it keeps switching to normal mode instead of theater, even when I ask it to stay in theater mode. Other than that, pretty great!

Thank you for adding this extension. It has a feature Google refuse to implement. It is so stupid how Youtube doesn't let you set a preferred resolution
