від wolfgang8741, 4 роки томуA welcome email relay service which may improve tracing down data breach origins, but a usability issues exists where premium subscribers using the Firefox extension and selecting "Generate Alias" generates not with the subdomain at this time which is the only reason to remove a star from an otherwise five star extension.
While the primary objective of the relay may be privacy, use cases such as data breach and contact information resale tracing are possible with these custom email aliases. Being able to track which site a custom alias is associated means being able to trace a breach or sale to the original account. (I'm not as concerned with privacy with subdomain use as I am excited about traceability of data sharing origins)

For the subdomain aliases, they're really great because they're is no need to have the add-on actually generate them, you can easily create them on the fly. For example if you're on your favorite music streaming site you can just type in for the email music@yoursubdomain.mozmail.com and emails will start flowing through to that alias. Or if you're on a news site you could do newssite@yoursubdomain.mozmail.com. We created the subdomain feature for convenience in creating an alias, especially in person or when you're on a mobile app and don't have easy access to the add-on. We do encourage you to use random generated aliases as much as you can though, as a randomly generated alias has a lot more privacy benefits. Thank you!

However, a robot auto-replies "Sorry, we'll look into it". Come on, fox-bot, the fix it shouldn't be that complicated. You can do better than that. I believe in you.

From the welcome email: "As a Firefox user, you get 50 email masks for free." But from the management page: "4/5 masks available."

Now I discover that one gets only 5 out of the 50 advertised masks. Only one tenth of the promised ones. I don't need 50 but definitely more than 5; I signed up to a lie.
DuckDuckGo lets you have as many as you need, given enough time. You can also reply through them at no cost.
By default Mozilla opts you in sending telemetry data to them and opts you out from filtering e-mail trackers which are the exact opposite settings of what one would do for privacy.
• 20260727 I wanted to try Mozilla Relay out, signed up, and all I get now is blank pages. The extension only links to the same blank pages. Useless. Clearing cache, other browser, restarting, all didn't help either.Відповідь розробника

So its currently unusable!

As for the relay service itself, I really like it and appreciate it. But the add-on is not up to date, and is not even usable for me, as a result of this shortcoming.
