Use system/browser-wide DNS like 1.1.1.3 (ask google / chatgpt) in combination with the extension to get the best experience possible. It is an interesting app for sure, using CBT. Will update my rating in the future after using it more thoroughly.

We keep the extension installed on three different versions of Firefox (stable, ESR, nightly) and test it regularly. Please, consider trying using the extension in combination with system/browser-wide DNS like 1.1.1.3 or alike (ask google/chatgpt for instructions if not sure).
