I don't know why it's so difficult to just add a search engine in firefox these days, you used to be able to right click any search box and select "add search engine". This does exactly what I want, I don't need all the other stuff from the official addon.

As mentioned in the other reivew It does change your home page but it's a couple of clicks to change it back,
