Can you also add notes to the underlines in the extension to have a record of what topics were taken?

Labels and notes is definitely something I'll look into. Stay tuned :)
Edit: the latest version of the extension allows to add comments to highlights. I hope this already helps. Tags for highlights will follow in a later release.
