The whole left half of this is black when widened. The right half with village looks nice.

Yes, that is right. It is not a full toolbar design. Most people don't like full toolbar designs because it makes the tabs harder to read. Sorry you don't like this one. I have quite a few full toolbar designs you could use.😢
