X-Notifier (latest version is 3.5.23) works great with Firefox 49.x and below. The API programming interface is changing with Firefox 50.x and so X-Notifier cannot continue with the same features. The newer version, X-Notifier Neo has been recommended for Firefox 50.x and above.
