"requires personal information" is a false red flag, the dev has confirmed it, the project is still being handled by the original creator and isn't being used for datamining.... riiiight Dmitry?
"Personal information" - is the random user ID generated by extension to count your votes. And if you don't like it - you can disable it in the settings.
So it's technically correct, but most of people imagine something different when they read it.
