The companion app installs a native binary with filesystem access for a problem that has a well-known sandboxed solution. Worth reconsidering due to this imo kinda of odd choice.
Yes it has smart naming, but given the 2 tier UI scheme, and buggy implementation, it's attractive on paper, and less so in usage. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13635813, a month ago

Greetings from J.K. - Rated 5 out of 5by Antimony, a month agoBestes Add-On ever! Ja, Videos downloaden ist mühsamer geworden, aber das hängt an YouTube nicht an VDH. Ich finde das Add-On weiterhin super und freue mich, dass ich die Volllizenz gekauft habe. es lohnt sich!

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17194981, a month agoIt was one of my favorite apps until the last update. Now it's crashing almost all the time and with youtube it's just useless trying it because it's working one time every several tries. I wonder why they touch things that work to damage them.
- Rated 2 out of 5by cheesburgr, a month agonew interface is a pain; results populate faster than they can be used, and the "trash can" button that used to clear results now only clears completed downloads
