Been using this for years, love the addon. Obviously how it hides the ads, but also many of the great quality of life stuff added.

That's why I'm sad I can't give more than 3 stars. Since more and more streamers broadcast in 2K, making their streams encrypted, and Alternate Player does not support encrypted broadcasts.

It's a great add-on to remove ads from streams. Twitch isn't making it easy though: channel points aren't working anymore for a few months and with the increase of the adoption of encrypted streamings the add-on isn't working as it should. Here hoping all these small things are fixed.

The GOAT of Twitch adblocking, that this isn't more popular is crazy. The new "1440p" streams on Twitch are not supported yet, would be amazing if you could add those (even if it downgrades quality to 1080p, I would love to watch those streams).

Please, fix the encrypted streams.

But please add a timer for how often the ads start and how long they last. It's stupid, but I want to understand how many ads the creator/Twitch puts on each live stream. 5 stars anyway.

Twitch continues to make the website unusable garbage. This fixes ALL of that. The people complaining about Dark Mode are silly, you have to click the settings bar to mess and CHECK the Dark Mode option.

Be nice if the dark chat mode saved, get flashbanged everytime I open it.

Please, fix the encrypted streams

Its great, but I need the chatbox to remember that I set it to dark mode everytime I load up a stream. ALSO, need a loudness equalizer, half of all twitch streams are too quiet and I can't even use this if I have to boost the volume myself and get my ears blown out by anything else my browser plays.

This is very helpful if you have terrible internet connection.

I have tried many adblockers, many twitch optimizing solutions, this one is the best I've ever seen for both in one. Phenomenal piece of work that makes twitch go from a sickly ad-drenched nightmare that used every bit of CPU it could steal like a damn bitcoin miner into a proper, fast, ad-free stream. Phenomenal work. Like a focusing lens. I think Google just kicked them off the play store for actually functioning.

No doubt twitch is intentionally disabling their features on third party extensions (bit rate/highres, loyalty points). If you request your data from twitch (Thank you european GDPR) you can see that they track all kinds of details about your settings on their home player.

Seems like only a matter of time until they move to cripple extensions like this one. So many efforts to create friction points, haven't seen any of the other tech companies do things like this. Soon our only agency will be to completely move off using the platform.

Channel points stopped working a few days ago. Otherwise, this addon is great and provides a much needed, and curiously missing, audio only player option.

Assuming it continues to work exactly as it's working now, it's much better than the default.

It's alright and it's got some cool features, but it has some delay from the original stream and you can't use 7TV Nightly and FrankerFacez emote extension in the integrated chat. My friends show me the same stream trough discord and this extension has like 4 or 5 whole seconds of delay from the original twitch player.
