- Noté 4 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18899970 de Firefox, il y a 4 joursFour stars because I've used this for years without any hiccups, not five since it has been days since I have been able to use it on any Firefox-based browser. Works fine on Chromium-based browsers. This is important and needs to be fixed yesterday. People might be browsing the web without any protection, since they don't realize their connection to this VPN has been lost for so long now.

Do you happen to be using any other extensions for privacy/security purposes? What type of internet connection are you using? Contact us at protonvpn.com/support/contact with more details so we can help you troubleshoot. - Noté 4 sur 5par Cpt.McCartman, il y a 5 joursUsually a very reliable VPN service (at least for the subscription) with some rare mishaps in streaming geoblocked live streams

- Noté 4 sur 5par Vincent M., il y a 7 joursFine when it works, but since few days, regular infinite wheel and no connexion to any servers. Block all web traffic if I didn't deactivate the addon. (A kill button seems to be mandatory)

- Noté 4 sur 5par _BoneZ_, il y a 2 moisI had the same issue as others. Spinning circle after install. However, once I removed it and installed it again, what I was missing was the confirmation button at the bottom of the first page that opens up, then on the next page it asks you to log in. Once logged in, THEN the extension icon worked correctly.
At least for a paid person. Not sure how that's supposed to work with the free version.Réponse du développeur

The extension keeps loading loading and loading. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it but it didn't work.
The Proton VPN in my MacOS works completely fine but I don't want to use that.Réponse du développeur

- Noté 4 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 19947022 de Firefox, il y a 4 moisThe bad thing about protonvpn free is that it assigns you a server based on your IP. Proton may be collaborating with authorities. Something we don't know internally, and they can already know your IP. So when you connect you are assigned to a free server but what you don't know who is connected to that server can be you alone or with other people. Another thing is that it uses VPS, dedicated servers are in England, we all know that England is an ally of the United States so draw your conclusions. What I don't understand is why one cannot choose which server to use and not that the system itself assigned me based on its preferences.

mis en ligne : il y a 3 moisThe default Connect option will connect you to the fastest available server for you. This leads to better load balancing and higher speed, which is a priority for free users. That said, you still have the option to change server, or you can upgrade to connect to a specific server in a country of your choice.
All of the Proton VPN servers use static IP addresses, which means that the same IP address is shared between all users connected to the server, and the IP address is the same all the time for that particular server, unless the server itself is changed. However, this does not apply to the free and Secure Core servers, which are selected from a pool of servers in order to balance out the load. As for dedicated IPs, we support multiple other countries: https://proton.me/support/dedicated-server-locations.
Lastly, we're not collaborating with any authorities whatsoever. If you'd like to assure yourself of Proton VPN's trustworthiness, navigate to https://protonvpn.com/blog/is-protonvpn-trustworthy for more details. We have a strict no-logs policy protected by Swiss law, and we are open-source and undergo regular third-party audits of our services. - Noté 4 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 19941048 de Firefox, il y a 4 moisSo like sometimes I need to turn the extension on and off a lot sometimes cuz if I don't it just won't connect to internet. (The web browser not the computer) I've tried this on waterfox and librefox I believe and multiple devices and OSes

mis en ligne : il y a 4 moisThank you for the feedback. Does the issue perhaps occur after rebooting your device, or restarting your browser? Are you receiving any error messages? Do you have the auto-connect feature enabled? Which browser version and Proton VPN extension version do you have installed? Please contact us at https://protonvpn.com/support/contact so we can help you troubleshoot. - Noté 4 sur 5par AwakeningLight, il y a 5 moisThe add-on is quite useful, but the integration (as already stated in another comments) with the desktop (Windows and Linux) app is lacking. The default auto-connect server selection would also come in handy, as it's done in desktop app.

- Noté 4 sur 5par Christopher, il y a 7 moisA simple to use VPN, especially for subscribers, but unreliable; the extension consistently disconnects intermittently, requiring disabling and re-enabling the extension several times to re-establish a connection.
