mis en ligne : il y a 7 moisThat's not right. We do have a free plan that costs $0 and allows you to secure your internet connection with no ads, no logs, and provides the same level of privacy and security as our paid plans. Anyone can sign up for our free plan, and we don't ask for any payment details during signup (https://protonvpn.com/free-vpn). You can navigate to https://protonvpn.com/support/browser-extensions for more details on how to use the Proton VPN browser extension.
That said, some features are available exclusively on our paid plans so as to achieve a balance between offering a free service and providing added benefits to our paid subscribers.

Highly recommend but you may have to fiddle with your system proxy settings if they're not set to auto detect
Original review: "Installs easy and looks simple enough. It connects but doesn't work at all in that all I get is "Unable to find the proxy server". I have allowed the permission for ProtonVPN to manage the setting so I don't know how it can be wrong. If I take away the permission it doesn't allow it to connect. Literally a fresh firefox install of the latest version. Connects to internet fine with no proxy or other funny business when turned off. Basically it looks like the thing connects and then breaks the Proxy settings to not use the tunnel."Réponse du développeur

Are you using any other VPN, proxy, or custom DNS service? Contact us by clicking on Help in the Proton VPN extension, then selecting 'Contact us' so we can help you further. Réponse du développeur

But currently i find a problem where if you close the browser with the vpn on after you reopen the browser it will try to connect to vpn immediately but will instead basically remove internet connection to the entire browser, making the extension itself inaccessible as well, only solution is to disable the extension and re-enableRéponse du développeur

Also, can you make split tunneling work the opposite way? i.e. I only want some websites to go through the VPN.
EDIT: The split tunneling now has include mode and exclude mode!

- Noté 1 sur 5par WrolTroklr, il y a 7 moisWorks well, when it does. After using the extension for little over a few weeks, it randomly stopped actually changing my location/IP even though it says "Connected". Huge security risk, If this does happen to you, I would try disallowing and reallowing the browser to control your browser traffic, but this is a massive and unnecessary inconvenience.

- Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 19538649 de Firefox, il y a 7 moisI have Proton’s most advanced plan, including their full suite of services and the VPN. I’ve been using it for over a month and it works well. It does exactly what I expect from it.
Advice for those using Proton VPN on PC:
A small trick if you can protect more than one device with Proton. Exclude the browser from the software and let the extension handle the VPN. Your usage will be more flexible that way.
