    Constant massive problems loading 7tv emotes! Since they changed something with their servers about a year ago it's unusable and extremely frustrating!

    never going to update the extension; i'll just be a lurker from now on.
    it now asks permission to view all of your browsing data and the contents of all pages you visit.
    DON'T INSTALL THIS SPYWARE!!

    The authors of 7TV refer to this article: blog.mozilla.org/addons/2025/10/23/data-collection-consent-changes-for-new-firefox-extensions/

    This change took power on November 3rd. However, the last time I updated the extension was on 14th of November (you can see it by clicking RMB on the extension, then 'manage extension'), which proves their reason is made up.

    As per the Mozilla article, developers had until the first half of 2026 to adhere to the changes. You can also view the exact changes we took for yourself: https://github.com/SevenTV/Extension/pull/1189/changes.

    Extension broke chat box so you have to update it and give your data as part of the update.

    The "browsingActivity" permissions is exclusively used to transmit your user presence, so that your cosmetics show up in chat. This has always been the case, but the consent screen is part of a newer Firefox initiative: https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2025/10/23/data-collection-consent-changes-for-new-firefox-extensions/

    What is the reason for the change in the new collection of data? With how the internet is today I chose to disable the extension instead, if it's a final change I won't be using the extension anymore

    Это означает, что расширение имеет полный контроль над вашими действиями в браузере. Оно способно перехватывать и анализировать историю посещений, поисковые запросы, переписку, а также конфиденциальные данные, включая логины, пароли и банковские реквизиты, вводимые на любых сайтах.
    Удаляю и остальным советую.

    Still after the newest update there is a bug where when scrolling up in Twitch chat and click the new messages, the video player messes up. When you scroll up the stream shrinks ever so slightly and when you click the button to see new messages it goes back to normal. If you watch the bottom right of any stream you'll see what I am talking about

    auto-tab emote completion randomly breaks. the only way to fix it is to refresh the tab. this bug has been around for years now.

    Emotes always fail to load, autocomplete never works, no emote modifiers. FFZ > BTTV > 7TV
