I love Proton Mail but Proton Pass is absolutely useless for me as I must be logged in to my Proton Mail to use it.

Hi! Both services are managed under the same account, so you need to be logged in to use Proton Pass. If this is a cause for concern for you, you can create a separate account for Proton Pass only.
