I might be inclined to pay for Proton Plus if I could test the VPN extension. But I'm not going to pay for something that I cannot test.

I see others have reported the same issue, but it is necessary to disable and reenable the extension almost every time you use Firefox. Otherwise, the browser will not load anything.

Great extension.
BUT, at every FF start, I cannot access any pages without switching the extension off and on again. Then it works perfectly.
Having profiles and Netshield would be a great addition. :).

I wouldn't waste my time installing this extension if it mentioned that it needs paying

Cannot use the extension without paying

Can't use without a subscription, unlike the OS-wide client. When it automatically reconnects upon browser reinitialisation, its GUI never loads, and it prevents all requests receiving responses.

This extension no longer works since FF update to 115.0. Cannot surf the web any longer. Breaks the internet usage completely.

It did an excellent job before the FF update.

Reinstalling the extension or deactivating all other extensions doesn't help.

After checking again, I found out that there are only certain sites I cannot visit. One is https://www.computerbox.at/ although connected to Austria

The application is extremely raw!

1. There is no protection against IP tracking
2. There is no automatic reconnection in case of connection loss
3. Frequent disconnections

add kill switch function!!!

Although I love the idea behind the app, using it has seriously downgraded my internet experience. Works fine after installation, but alfter closing my browser and restarting it, it shows connected but none of my (buffered) pages will load. Disconnecting and reconnecting more often than not results in the app saying it can't make a connection to the server. The only way I get it to work so far is disconnecting vpn, loading pages without the vpn connection, and then connecting VPN again - miraculously, suddenly, it connects to the servers. But having to load pages without vpn first seems to beat the purpose of it. This is not the robust proton applicatin quality I've come to love, I'll be switching back to the desktop app.

Loses connection after a few minutes

I've been using Proton VPN for a while now. Very nice, but why are some sites/apps unresponsive with VPN ON? As for this extension, how is having a Firefox VPN extension different than connecting to VPN system-wide through the Proton app?

Bug report: Great VPN extension, however one annoying problem. After waking my laptop from sleep, the VPN connection cannot establish itself. The only way to enable normal operation is to dis/enable the extension.
Actually two problems. When the connection is in the process of connecting, the notification already claims it is connected to xx country. So the devs issue the notification too early.

I would rate 5 stars, however it is quite annoying to have a notification every few minutes when the connection is established, or re-established - if there is a way to mute these notifications, this would be a huge improvement. The constant pings are distracting and unnecessary.

EDIT: My bad - there is indeed a setting to mute notifications!
