    Proton VPN a fonctionné quelques semaines, mais depuis assez longtemps maintenant (trop longtemps) il plante sur "En attente d'un serveur disponible" et peut rester ainsi des heures. ce 'truc' ne fonctionne pas.

    Bonjour, pouvez-vous confirmer que vous utilisez l'add-on pour Firefox (car celle-ci ne contient pas de texte "En attente d'un serveur disponible"). Pourrait-il s'agir d'un problème avec la version desktop ?

    Dans tous les cas, je vous encourage à vous rendre sur protonvpn.com/support-form pour que le service client puisse analyser le problème et comprendre pourquoi la connexion ne fonctionne pas sur votre appareil.

    I've used Proton VPN for a long time and I've never encountered a bigger pile of hot garbage, than this ridiculous extension. Works when and IF it wants to. More headache than protection.

    I would recommend to download the desktop application instead in such case, you can do it from GitHub which hopefully shouldn't be geo-blocked:
    Windows: github.com/ProtonVPN/win-app/releases
    macOS: github.com/ProtonVPN/ios-mac-app/releases
    Linux: should be available via apt, yum, etc.

    I get a 400 error when i'm trying to log on the VPN threw the firefox addon
    Here's the details of the error

    Bad Request
    Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
    Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

    Requires a sign-in on a page that is inaccessible without a VPN. You literally need a VPN to use this VPN.

    Also glitches out and asks me to update right after the installation, with no updtae available.

    Hello,

    I'm sorry to hear. We are rather limited by the browser capabilities. If the ISP or country you're browsing from is blocking our domain, we cannot establish to connection to it in the first place.

    I suspect the update issue is also related to some sort of firewall. If you contact contact@protonvpn.com or support@protonvpn.zendesk.com and provide the version of the browser extension you're using, from where you got it and the country/ISP you're from, we can try to find ways to circumvent it.

    A screenshot of the prompt you get and HAR export of the browser extension network traffic may also help to find out if you can provide it also.

    Please note that Proton also has a client that you can install on your device wich is more efficient in countries with anti-VPN filtering rules.

    Undecided, I was wondering if there is a way to have split tunneling with just 1 tab on my firefox? So let's say I want Xbox website to see that I'm from USA but all my other tabs I want normal ISP service from UK, is that possible?

    This doesn't seem to let me connect to USA, it's fixed to netherlands...

    Would be nice if we could pick servers for free, not all of us are rich you know but thanks for giving something at least

    I've had to remove a star because it is near unresponsive on windows 7 edition firefox 115extended build

    This could be better if it worked properly and let me choose the server because others allow free server choice and more choices. If I like it I might buy it but not paying for subscription if its broke and doesn't let me test out free for long time like Avast antivirus has done since the 90s and I bought their product after a decade

    Final Update-
    Well folks here's another company that decided to phase out Windows 7 + firefox + google chrome versions that only work with Windows 7, what utter shambles. Uninstall+ remove + #don't support these types of companies ever I also cancelled my subscription with them, why would I continue with this company even if I have Windows 11, if they don't even respect the customer?

    They have lost integrity and should just quit their day jobs.

    Hello, there are settings in Firefox that bypass any extension so you have to ensure they are correctly set, you can check https://protonvpn.com/support/browser-extensions#firefox

    Note that we don't provide the extension as a complete replacement of the desktop application. Depending on your threat model, you may need one, the other or both.
