- Rated 2 out of 5by SommaTheSame, 3 hours agoIve had no problems with this extension on other browsers like chrome and opera, but it simply refuses to work on firefox. It just keep trying to load for eternity without anything happening. The only other security/privacy add-on I have is UBO and my browser is up to date.

- Rated 5 out of 5by GravityPopsicle, 10 hours agoI love Proton VPN! Yes, it requires an account but it is so easy to make one and the unlimited free data is just too good of a deal for a (currently) brokie like me :p

- Rated 1 out of 5by Foxer, 2 days agoWhat happened? I recently renewed my subscription (not for the first time), and now I'm installing the extension on a new device, but it simply won't load (it just keeps loading forever!!!). Fix this! I've been experiencing issues for months now- I have to reconnect frequently, otherwise pages won't load. There are other issues, so I won't list them all here.

posted 2 days agoThat doesn't sound right. Are both your browser and the Proton VPN extension up-to-date? Do you have any other extensions installed for privacy/security purposes? What type of internet connection are you using? Are you receiving any error messages? Please reach out to us at https://protonvpn.com/support/contact with more details so we can help you further. - Rated 1 out of 5by Tristan, 2 days agoIt sucks because I love Proton as a service and have been a paying customer for quite awhile, but this extension has always been completely broken on Firefox and it's derivatives. Everytime I first install it, the VPN works great. However, after I restart Firefox, it can never connect again and no website will load at all whenever it says "Connected". I need to reinstall the extension in order for it to work. It doesn't matter what fork I'm on, it doesn't matter what PC I'm on, and this has been happening for years. Works great on Vivaldi which you'd expect, given the extension is pre-loaded in the browser...but cmon I'm a Firefox guy and I'd like for this to work so I can use the VPN I'm paying for on my browser of choice. Until then, I'm not paying extra for it.

What OS are you running? Meanwhile, if possible, try switching to a different network to see if there's any improvement.- Rated 5 out of 5by rwac, 6 days ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by cuvtixo, 7 days agoMainly I use this extension on Chrome-based browsers, which gets labelled as a different "device"(?) This is very easy to use on both browser platforms. It was surprisingly difficult for me even find how to rate a FF extension on Mozilla! But it's definitely worthwhile for someone who uses Firefox only occasionally

posted 7 days agoThat doesn't sound right. Could you share more details about the issue? Are you using any other VPN, proxy, or custom DNS? How exactly have you observed the leak? Are your browser and the Proton VPN extension up-to-date? Contact us at https://protonvpn.com/support/contact so we can investigate the behavior further. - Rated 1 out of 5by Promero, 13 days agoSo there really is a widespread issue between Proton VPN and Firefox. I’m frustrated, I’m a premium subscriber on an annual plan, and I still can’t use the service in the browser that’s officially supported via the extension. We need an ETA! It’s been almost two months with no updates.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Crabbage, 15 days agoWorks great until my laptop goes to sleep. Then it disconnects, and for some reason prevents Firefox from connecting to the internet at all. And since Firefox isn't connected to the internet, the extension doesn't load properly, so I can't even turn it off! I have disable the add-on to get Firefox to work, at which point I can reenable it and reconnect the proxy.
