- Оцінка 1 з 5від Oğuz Düz, 4 місяці томуI find Proton's overall service quality, server speeds, and desktop application very successful; it's a genuinely good service. However, the browser extension (Zen, Vivaldi, etc.) unfortunately does not work properly on this computer.
The moment I click connect, the extension turns "green" (connected) within milliseconds, but no pages load and it throws a "Connection Timed Out" error. I have checked all network settings and DNS configurations on my system. While other competing VPN extensions work flawlessly on the exact same system, only Proton's extension gets stuck in this fake connection loop and fails to route traffic properly at the OS layer. This extension urgently needs an update to match the quality of the overall service. Until the extension is fixed, my rating is 1 star.Відповідь розробника

Every time I try to connect to a server the whole browser freezes and if I wait long enough, it crashes. I have to open Firefox in troubleshooting mode and remove the addon, because as soon as I enable it it tries to connect to a server and the browser freezes.

This leads to better load balancing and higher speed, which is a priority for free users. That said, you still have the option to switch to another randomly allocated server by disconnecting and reconnecting, or you can upgrade to connect to a specific server in a country of your choice.

Fails to connect and remains stuck at which time, all functionality of the browser has stopped. Cannot open settings, cannot click the extension icon, nothing. Assumed it may have been the core secure function causing the hang up, so I did a refresh on FireFox. Reinstalled the extension and same issue happened. Had to do another refresh of FireFox.
